Braised Pork Belly

Delivered as a single, fully cooked piece, it’s best finished in a frying pan or air fryer to achieve a perfectly crisp exterior.

Tender and richly seasoned, our Braised Pork Belly is slow-cooked and glazed in a traditional Chinese Five Spice sauce featuring notes of star anise, cinnamon, fennel, clove, and Sichuan pepper.

 Serve over rice or slice into bao buns for a bold, flavorful meal with minimal effort.

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

Fully cooked, keep refrigerated.

STOVETOP (RECOMMENDED)

Remove pouch from outer packaging.
Appliances vary; these are guidelines only.
Heat to a minimum internal temperature of 165⁰F.

  1. Heat a non-stick pan on MEDIUM heat. Add 1 tsp. of cooking oil (optional).
  2. Open the pouch and transfer the sauce to a bowl.
  3. Remove the Pork Belly from the package and and slice it into approximately 1/4″ slices.
  4. Dip the sliced Pork Belly into the reserved sauce.
  5. Place the sliced Pork Belly and the reserved sauce into the preheated pan and heat for 5-6 minutes, flipping halfway through the heating time.
  6. Serve. CAUTION: pan contents will be hot.

OVEN/CONVECTION OVEN HOT AIR
  1. Preheat air fryer to 400°F on the AIR FRY setting.
  2. Open the pouch and transfer the sauce to a bowl.
  3. Remove the Pork Belly from the pouch and slice into approximately 1/4″ slices.
  4. Dip the Pork Belly slices into the sauce.
  5. Place the sliced Pork Belly with some of the reserved sauce into the air fryer basket and air fry for 6-8 minutes, flipping and basting with the remaining sauce halfway through.
  6. Serve. CAUTION: tray contents will be hot.
